Malina moved to Brighton in 1994 after marrying her now husband Ilan Schwartz. They moved to further their medical education however they never planned on staying. They lived together in an apartment on Commonwealth Ave while they both began their medical residencies.

Malina then moved to Newton in 1996 because they needed more space for her soon-to-be-born son, Eyal. While living in Newton, Malina, and Ilan both completed their residencies and were now practicing physicians. Malina wanted to return to Mexico now that their training was over however Mexico was no longer a safe place to raise a family, and so the decision to stay was made.

Once again the family continued to grow when my sister Nurit was born in 2001 and Malina and Ilan decided it was time to buy a house. They chose Needham for its safety and great schools and have lived in Needham ever since.
