Family

 Malina is the eldest daughter of Phyllis Udinsky and Javier Milan. She was born on July 12th, 1966 and grew up with her two parents alongside her younger sister Vania until her parents got divorced when she was 9 years old. 

Life at Home

Malina lived in an apartment in Polanco until there was an earthquake in 1985 which urged her and her family to move to a house a couple blocks away. While living at home, Malina was a very busy kid spending time "practicing the piano, playing tennis, dancing, and helping my mom sell her clothing at the flea market".

Religion

Malina's mother is a Jewish woman from Queens who passed her religious values onto her two daughters. However, growing up Jewish in Mexico City, Malina was part of a very small community of Jews that made up less than 0.5% of people in Mexico City.


Early Education

Malina went to elementary school at El Instituto Mexicano de Educación Primaria and after, attended Middle School through High School at La Escuela Secundaria y Preparatoria de la Ciudad de Mexico.

University

After falling in love with medicine in secondary school, Malina pursued her passion at La Universidad Anáhuac where she met her now husband, Ilan Schwartz.
