Liza Kyrnasovska

project by Alex Morrison

Liza Kyrnasovska was born in a small Ukrainian town in the 1990s. Liza had always loved learning about different cultures and languages, so she wanted to live somewhere else when she was older. In 2012, she got that opportunity, and moved from Ukraine to the United States to pursue a more successful life. She entered into the Au Pair Program, which provides childcare and family supervision for American families by au pairs from other countries. She chose to live with the Cardin family, who are family friends of our family, in Wellesley. She stayed with them for four years while absorbing the language and culture. During her four years in Wellesley, she went back to school, where she studied Biology and Chemistry, which allowed her to get a successful job in Boston working Biotech. Nowadays, she lives with her husband and daughter in the Boston area. I was able to interview Liza about her experiences and time in both Ukraine and Massachusetts.
