Esther Espino

Esther Espino's immigration story isn't a conventional one. She never had a pre-conceived idea that it was her destiny to come to America, as many immigrants do. She didn't put America on a pedestal and spend her life trying to achieve the American dream. She was in no rush to build a life here until one day, on a visit to her cousin in New York, she was notified of a job opportunity with one Toby Baron (my grandma). Little did she know that only 5 days later, she would decide that America would be her home for the rest of her life.
