The schoolwide Olweus Kick Off was held on Tuesday, October 2. The Kick Off hosted Eric Samuel Timm. Eric Samuel Timm is an orator, author, artist, and visionary who uses art to help his audience see what they can not hear. Eric has spoken to over 2 million people in more than 35 countries in a wide range of venues from public schools to music festivals, arenas, and places of worship. Eric uses his words and art to captivate and catapult his audiences to action. The message he shared with students at Milaca Public Schools was the message of using words of life versus words of hate. His message included a toothpaste analogy that was played out by students. The analogy relates emptying out a toothpaste bottle with hurtful words that you may say. What you say, you cannot take back similar to if you squeeze out a bottle of toothpaste, you cannot get all of the toothpaste back in the bottle.
