Supported Employment for people with disabilities
Some individuals may need supports in order to be successfully employed and/ or prepare for a career. This can range from working with a job developer, participating in a short term internship, having a job coach, or working in a highly supervised employment setting.
DVR
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) supports individuals with disabilities with getting and keeping a job. Here you can learn more about DVR services and apply online. DVR counselors work with the Transition Coordinator in each school to do referrals, develop Individual Plans for Employment (IPE), and authorize services.
Once an individual has established a plan with DVR, there are a variety of service providers in our area that they may contract with in order to support the individual with employment.
