To help understand who we are and what we are working towards, here are some of our goals we want to accomplish and why:
Require public schools to provide access to free period products across Massachusetts
Public schools need this access to products, so students of all backgrounds do not have to worry about having access when they are at school
With these products, less students would have to miss necessary learning time
Lessen the stigma surrounding periods and having a period
Lessening the stigma around the natural bodily process of having a period would lessen people's anxiety and embarrassment, and make people feel more comfortable talking about these topics
Create and increase accessibility to quality education about periods, how they work, period poverty, and period stigma
With education, much of the misunderstanding and harmful assumptions about periods and people who have a period can be eradicatedÂ
If everyone has access to this education, everyone has a chance to be educated on an important topic
