Our Goals

To help understand who we are and what we are working towards, here are some of our goals we want to accomplish and why:

• Require public schools to provide access to free period products across Massachusetts

  • • Public schools need this access to products, so students of all backgrounds do not have to worry about having access when they are at school

    • With these products, less students would have to miss necessary learning time

• Lessen the stigma surrounding periods and having a period

  • • Lessening the stigma around the natural bodily process of having a period would lessen people's anxiety and embarrassment, and make people feel more comfortable talking about these topics

• Create and increase accessibility to quality education about periods, how they work, period poverty, and period stigma

  • • With education, much of the misunderstanding and harmful assumptions about periods and people who have a period can be eradicated 

    • If everyone has access to this education, everyone has a chance to be educated on an important topic
