Paul Grizzard is in his eighth year as choral director at GCHS. Prior to coming to Greenfield, he taught for ten years at Rushville Consolidated High School. Mr. Grizzard earned his Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Mathematics from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and his Masters in Secondary Education from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. He lives in Greenfield with his wife, Lauren, and his two children, Claire and Ryan.
David Hanson serves as the accompanist for the GCHS choral program, which includes playing for daily rehearsals, leading sectionals, and accompanying all performances and competitions. In addition to his role here at the high school, Mr. Hanson is also the organist and choir director at St. John's United Church of Christ in Batesville, IN. Mr. Hanson got his M.A. in piano from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA and resides in Shelbyville.
Jen Steele recently left her 25 year career in broadcasting to come support our performing arts department. Jen lives here in Greenfield, with her husband and two children. Her older daughter is a graduate of the band program, her younger daughter currently attends Greenfield-Central High School. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need something!
Elizabeth Orr is the choreographer for our school's show choir, Legacy. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Elizabeth is a freelance choreographer working with several Indiana show choirs and musical theatre productions. She lives in Cumberland, IN with her husband and two children.
Derek Hutchinson serves as a private voice instructor to GCHS choir students. He graduated from Ball State University in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Music Media Production and has been a private music instructor for 10 years. His performance experience has taken him all over the world, driving coast to coast in the U.S. with his band The Indigos, and singing at multiple international vocal festivals with a contemporary a Cappella group. Rachel Beasley serves as a private voice instructor to GCHS choir students. She graduated from Indiana State University in 2019, and has been pursuing music ever since. Her career as a vocalist, stemming from a background of musical theater and show choir performance, has grown to a multi-genre repertoire that she has performed as well as taught. She now performs multiple nights a week fronting professional music ensembles around Indianapolis.
