Madrigal Singers (Gr. 11-12)

A strong tradition of excellence in Hancock County, this auditioned ensemble focuses on the Madrigal Dinners held each December, where the students perform mostly Renaissance music in full costume.  Madrigal also competes at the ISSMA Div. I state-qualifying competition each May.

Legacy (Gr. 11-12)

G-CHS’s show choir, which sings primarily current pop music along with moderate dance moves.  In addition to choir concerts, Legacy performs for the Jazz Concert in November and competes in the show choir competition circuit in the Spring.

Concert Choir (Gr. 10-12)

The high school’s main choir for all students Gr. 10-12.  This ensemble focuses on singing a cappella (without piano accompaniment) and primarily performs music of the SSAATTBB voicing.

Pre-requisite: one year HS choir / teacher discretion.

Bella Voce (Gr. 10-12)

Our school’s treble ensemble for sophomores and above, which rehearses and performs SSAA choral repertoire.  This group also performs a cappella and sings a wide variety of repertoire.

Pre-requisite: one year HS choir / teacher discretion.

Tenor-Bass Choir

Introductory ensemble for all freshman tenors and basses.  Performs a wide range of songs from a variety of styles, time periods, cultures, and languages.  Basic singing technique is taught along with an emphasis on sight-reading skills.

Treble Choir

Introductory ensemble for all freshman sopranos and altos.  Performs a wide range of songs from a variety of styles, time periods, cultures, and languages.  Basic singing technique is taught along with an emphasis on sight-reading skills.
