The Singapore Mathematics Project Festival (SMPF) was inaugurated by the Singapore Mathematical Society in 2001 in recognition of the fact that creative and innovative work in mathematics may best be reflected in project work wherein ideas may be thoroughly explored and carried through from start to finish.
This competition is optional for TA (Mathematics) students, but they are encouraged to take it up if they are passionate in a specific field of Math and are keen to conduct further research in it under the guidance of the TA (Mathematics) tutors. Groups with outstanding submissions may also be invited to present their project to others!
