WHO I AM?
Hi there! I’m Dalton Conden, a proud cat dad and first-generation college student at the Dominican University of California. I’m majoring in History and minoring in Education Studies. I’m passionate about teaching, especially in Special Education and history, because I believe in making history both accessible and meaningful for our youth and my drive toward Special Education comes from my own experiences in K-12 school, where Special Education played a huge role in shaping who I am today. I’m also a peer mentor and serve as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on ASDU, working to create a more inclusive environment for everyone. When I’m not doing that, you’ll find me diving into politics, gaming, hiking, learning something new, or travelling. Also, as a caucus member of the Young Democrats of America, I’m committed to advocating for policies and people that ensure equal and equitable opportunities for all. Understanding our past is key to building a fairer future, and I can’t wait to bring that perspective into the classroom and beyond.
