The transferring of information from one person to another.
"A language is not just words. It’s a culture, a tradition, a unification of a community, a whole history that creates what a community is. It’s all embodied in a language."
—Noam Chomsky
Communication is how we connect with others. People communicate through words, actions, or art to express their feelings, give instructions, call for action, and many other reasons. Being able to share one's thoughts and feelings well is important. The better we can communicate with the world around us, the easier it will be to understand each other, give and receive help, or develop and maintain relationships with loved ones. The better we communicate, the more we can learn from others.
