Grading

Each quarter, the following grades will be given.

1. Participation, based on rubric- 40 Points (2nd and 4th quarter will include concert participation)
   • students will be exempted from concert grade with an approved excuse, submitted in advance.
   • in case of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, contact Mr. Sensor as soon as possible
   • alternative credit is available for students that miss a concert and need to make it up
2. Folder Check- 10 Points (every 9 weeks) Students need a small 3-ring binder with page protectors for their music, and all assigned music and hand-outs. BINDER MUST BE CLEARLY LABELED WITH STUDENT NAME!
3. Music Theory/ Note Reading Assignments- 10 Points (assignments will vary for each 9 weeks)
4. Google Classroom assignment average (including playing assignments)- 40 points
