Projects in Intro to Studio Art

Creative Lines

This is my creative lines drawing, created by nine different and crazy lines formed into other objects in the picture. I am overall pretty happy with how this turned out. I like the shadows and all the different colors of this picture. I learned how to think outside the box because at first I struggled with coming up with an idea, but then I thought of one and it was a lot of fun.

Pencil Drawing

This is my pencil drawing of my hand holding my Hydroflask. I really liked working on this project. My favorite part was shading my hand because I like to see how it comes together and all the contrast it creates in the drawing. I really like the way it turned out with all the highlights and detail. I wish it could've been a little bit smoother, but it is pretty much the way I wanted it to turn out.

Clay Whistle

This is my clay whistle project. It is Patrick Star. I am really happy with how it turned out and like how fat he is and that he is able to stand up. One thing I would change is I would put some holes in his back so you would be able to change tunes.

Acrylic Insect Painting

The first picture is my insect painting. I am very happy with this painting and love the style of it. I love the texture of the bee and plants, and also the smoothness of the background. The second picture is my extra painting I did. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, but I like the other one better. I like the different colors of the fur and the texture.

Clay Bowl

This is my clay bowl. I am happy with how it turned out overall. I really like the multiple colors and shades of blue but I wish the clay itself looked a little less smooshed. I am very happy that I decided to use multiple colors of glaze.

Clay Jar

This is the clay jar that I made. I am pretty happy with it, but I really with it was smoother. I like the painting and 3D aspects of it, but I also wish I made the cut in it a little less bumpy.

Watercolor Painting

I am very happy with how this turned out. I was a bit frustrated with doing the watercolor background at first but after 3 failed attempts I finally got it. I am happy with how all the depth and texture. I also really like the pen I added on the ruffled tentacles.

This is mine and Kailee's paintings together. We used the same picture and split it in half so we could make one big painting combined.

3D Art Story

This was a fun project to work on, especially during quarantine, because I had lots of time to work on it and make it just how I wanted it. I enjoyed making all the small aspects of it and making it out of everyday objects. I really like the way everything turned out.
