Intro to Art
Creative Lines One Square
This is one of the first art pieces I have done in Intro to Art and I have mixed emotions about it. I was looking at the lines and I had a(n) idea to use the lines to make an image of trash in the ocean. I was kind of looking at the lines and decided to show an environmentalist's point of view. It was unplanned until I saw everything be put together. Like I said before I have mixed emotions about this art piece I don't hate but I also don't like it. Reflecting back if I had taken this home and took my time on it I believe it would've turned out better.
Hand with a Tool Drawing
This drawing might've been the hardest drawing I've ever done. I've drawn people before in my sketchbook before and this was way harder. I like how it turned out though. I believe it could've been better if I used my time more wisely but I will not make that mistake again. I like this assignment because of how we had to see details in things we hadn't noticed before that were right in front of us. It is so interesting how we don't really look at the big picture. Overall I like how my drawing turned out.
Clay Jar
This is probably by favorite clay project I've done so far in this class. It came out very close to what I wanted to it look like. I am very proud and happy how this project came out. I love plants so I decided to create a cactus with a flower on the top. I was in need of a jewelry jar as well. I had a little bit of difficulty with the petals but it turned out very well. I loved creating this project!
Clay Bowl
My design for this project was a honeycomb dripping. It didn't turn out as clean as I wanted it to be but when working with clay nothing is perfect. I think it turned out okay but it could've been better but the design was difficult. This project is really fun to do it gets you moving, being more creative, and develop your skills.
Underwater Color
Reflecting on this art piece was very difficult for me. I have worked with watercolor before but without any rules. This assignment came with certain things I couldn't do and control. So it was a little struggle with me. I had to do this art piece three times. Twice with a different photo of choice then I decided I would pick a different photo. I think this art piece could've been better but otherwise, it turned out pretty good.
