Self Portrait Drawing

I really enjoyed doing this art project. At first I thought it would be a bad idea to draw a picture of myself, but I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. So first we took pictures of ourselves and I picked out the one I liked the most. Then we took the picture on graph paper and then a larger blank page and made graphs on there. Then I numbered the graphs and started drawing the outline of my face and all the lines that I saw in the picture. Then once the lines were all in I started shading the neck and then the face, teeth, eyes and nose and lastly we finished off with the hair. If I were to redo this project I would have done my darks darker. I feel like I was a bit scared to go to dark because then I would mess up but I looked at some of the other drawings on the wall and I would have gone darker. But I really enjoyed doing this project, it was really fun and I have never shaded with pencils before because I missed the hand drawing in Intro to Art. So this was completely new but lots of fun.

Oil Painting

This project was a lot different from the self portrait drawing. You could mess up and cover it up easily. I added so many different colors that you would never see in an orange and it still looks like an orange. It does not look realistic but you can still tell it is an orange. That is why I really enjoyed doing this project. Once I picked out this orange and drew it on the canvas I started painting the background. But once I started painting the actual orange that is when I struggled because I could not get the color I wanted and I didn't know how to make it like a painting of an orange. Once I got the hang of it I realized I can add so many colors and it looks messy but cool.  After I was done I redid the background because I didn't really like it the first time. I really enjoyed painting this project it was lots of fun and ended up loving how it turned out.

Scratch Art

This project was not one of my favorites. I had a hard time getting motivated to do it and I just could't figure out how to make it look good. I started this project by picking out a picture of a cow and then tracing it onto the scratch paper. And then on the darker parts I had to scratch less and the lighter parts I scratched more. The nose was my favorite part because it was a different texture and a lot more fun to do. In the end I ended up liking it more than I expected. This project was a bit difficult but I liked how it turned out.

Watercolor Architect

I loved this project, I have always loved watercolor and doing my new house was a ot of fun too. I started out by taking a picture of my new house and then tracing it onto paper. Then I started inking everything and that took a long time, it was a long process. Then I did my sky and that was super easy and after the sky I started on the house. I loved doing the house, every day I just kept adding more and more layers to get the color I wanted and once I finished the house at last minute I decided to make up my own front yard and that was hard because I wasn't following anything. Didn't really like how the yard turned out. And I finally finished and I love it. It was a very fun project to do.

Colored Pencil Drawing

This is probably one of the best art projects I have ever done and one of my top favorites too. I had a lot of fun with this one. I started out by tracing over the lines to outline the tractor then I started coloring. I started out with the red thinking it would be the easiest because it was one plain color but once I moved onto the tires and other detailed parts I really started to like it more and more. I messed with the colors until I liked what I had. This was such a great project and I would 100% do it again. Love how it turned out but the motor part with all the wires was really complicated and was probably my least favorite part to color. All in all it was a great project to finish off the school year with!
