I found this project to be fun yet somewhat challenging at times. At the start of the project I was intimidated but still excited to see my progress. Although this semester was only dedicated to this project, I didn't fully anticipate how much time I would have to put into this. I learned a lot of things throughout this project, like how many dots should be put in a certain area to represent how light or dark it is, as well as adding the correct color combinations to make a certain color.
preflection: For this project, we will be creating a portrait for kids from India and sending it to them. I am excited to create something for the kid to enjoy and hopefully cherish.
reflection: This process went by faster than I had expected. I'm glad that I saved the face to do last so that I could understand the right colors to make a certain color and have an understanding of the shading. I'm happy with the end result because it looks just like her and the shading and coloring look good.
I hope that this kid sees the portrait is happy and can appreciate it and her beauty.
This project was somewhat challenging at times but I learned a lot from it. I hadn't done any kind of 2d project on this scale and it was scary at the start. I found it easier when I did one thing at a time and didn't move on until that area of the painting was completed. The field of grass and flowers was the most difficult part of the painting because I wasn't sure on how to approach it. Ultimately, I found that painting the area one color and then adding the lighter grass on top was a decent method. Overall, I'm glad I chose to do a painting to redo because not only am I happy with the finished project but I also am glad that I learned so much on the way.
