I liked this project, although the freedom with guidelines made it hard to come up with an idea. My project is a picture of all my siblings and I standing alongside Jesus. It is saying that we are all his children and he loves us dearly. I would like to do this project again, but fully watercolor to see how that would look.
I struggled a lot at first to cut the glass and make sure I was cutting deep enough to break off the pieces. I enjoyed doing a practice to get used to the skills. I think I improved at grinding and noticed the importance of making sure all the pieces fit well.
I chose to do picture frames for my stained glass project. I love pictures and use picture frames a lot for decoration, so I thought it would be a good use of the stained glass for me. It took some learning to figure out how to stand up the frames once they were built, but eventually we figured it out. I enjoyed doing different shapes and patterns of glass rather than just squared and rectangles. I didn't like all of the grinding, but I improved at cutting glass compared to the beginning.
