Intro to Art

Hand Drawing

The picture on the left is my hand drawing. In this lesson, I learned skills that help my know now how to blend, add texture, and even just as simple as drawing lines. The goal of this drawing was to make it look exactly like the picture and I achieve they goal. I hope that my texture would have turned out better but others told me that I did good. The best thing I like about my drawing is the palm and part of the fingers. My least favorite part of my drawing is brush and my nails. This piece is going to help in the future with more precision and more detail.

Insect Painting

This is my painting of an insect. I choose a butterfly because I love them and I thought it would be fun to paint one. I used oil paints to paint this photo. I learned that you have to take your time when painting and be careful. I think it turned out pretty good and I am very happy with it.

Clay Jar

For this project I made a clay jar and painted it with different shades of blue. I learned that I should have added more coats on the jar because some of the paint is really thin. I also forgot the colors I painted my jar a few times so some of the colors don't match. I am happy wih my jar but I wish I had chosen different colors or remembered the colors I had chosen.

Clay Bowl

For this project I made a clay bowl and painted it a ruby red. My first bowl broke so this is my second bowl. In that I learned that I needed to blend more and take my time. I also maybe could have added another layer of glaze. I had a lot of fun making this bowl.

Clay Whistle

For the clay whistle project I made a pineapple. I chose a pineapple because I love pineapples and I thought it would be fun to make. In this project, one of my leaves broke, but I was able to glue it back on. Through that I learned that I need to do a better blending job and be more careful. I am happy with the end result and would love to do it again. I glazed the whistle with a harvet yellow on the bottom and a foliage green.

UnderWaterColor

This project was many things including, frusterating, fun, and educating. I had ups and downs with the project wit adding layer to and making the color darker in places. The type of color schem I did was complementary, which is to opposite colors o n the color wheel. I think I did a really good job and hope I can only get better froom here.

Printmaking

Print making was the most fun project we have done this year. I was so much fun cutting and putting ink on the plate to make a print. It was hard to decide which prints to keep to put in the book. I wish I would have gone slower because I made a few mistake cutting and printing. But I loved this project though.

Spot the Different

This project was interesting to say the least. I had so much fun photo shopping things in and out, but got frustated a lot. This weren't working and editing in the right place. I figured it out and the end result looks great. I had fun doing this project with my partner Alayna.

Pencil box

OMG! This project was so fun and is so cute. It is just simple foam board with paper covering it and your name on metal but I was fun. I had some troubles with glueing and the paper but it all turned out good, and I made it for my sister for her birthday day.
