Self Portrait Drawing

I thought drawing my hand last year was hard and cool, I JUST DREW MY FACE! For this project, I used pencils, an electric eraser and a regular eraser, and a blender.  This project took lots of patients and took my time to make every square identical to the corresponding square in my picture. I am very happy with my drawing and my favorite part is my hair. I'm not super happy with parts of the face but I am still happy with the end product.

Food Painting

For this project, I painted lemons and limes with oil paints. I painted the whole thing with paintbrushes and then I went in with a white paint pen to add detail. Some parts of this painting aren't what I hoped for, but overall I am happy. It was hard at the beginning trying to remember to trust the process. My least favorite part was trying to match the color of the paint to the color on the picture and having enough of that color made. My favorite part was when I was finished and was able to hang it up and step back to see it all and love my work.

Scratch Art

For this project, I chose to scratch a raccoon because their faces look so sweet and they are very furry. Every little mark has to be the perfect, length, thickness, and has to be going to right direction. Before you make a mark you have to determine all of those things. I am very happy with how this turned out, the wiskers got a little messed up but that is ok. The media I used was an x-acto knife.

Water Color Painting

For this project, I watercolored my great-grandparent's house. This was a little difficult because there weren't a lot of details in the picture I went off of. So I really had to work hard with the details that were there. The water was hard to manipulate into the small spaces but I think that it turned out really good. I am super proud of it and am so excited to give it to my great-grandma.

Colored Pencil Drawing

This colored pencil drawing means so much to me and I am so happy with how it turned out. This is my great-grandpa's plane that I remember riding in when I was little. It was really hard to get the straight and small lines on the side. There was a lot of sharpening over and over to get those perfect lines. There was nothing I hated about this project because I knew what it looked like in person and could imagine riding in it. I am super happy to give it to my great-grandma.
