Intro to Art

build a Story

This is my story I built out of random materials I received. This was about beach camp when I broke the first chair. This project has shown me that there are different ways to do art. I have only known pencil drawing, painting, clay, and pottery. This project was super fun, it was a challenge, but it was fun.

Hand Holding Tool

This is my hand holding a paint brush. I chose a paint brush because I love to paint. I have painted many different things in my life, and each time I learn something new and it improves. This drawing has shown me that sometimes my brain limits what I do. A month ago if someone asked me if I could draw this, I would have said that I could try but it wouldn't be pretty. Yet here I am with a beautiful masterpiece of my own. This project was so much fun, even if there were bumps in the road, I got it done and I am proud of it..

Landscape painting

This was a picture of when I went to the beach with my family and my puppies. I am usually really good at painting and it comes with all ease, but this painting had things that were easy, but there were also difficult things. Some difficulties I had while doing this project was finding the right shade for the sky or how to shade in different colors. Some of the things that were easier were outlining everything at the beginning and painting the water and sky once i found the perfect shade. This was such a fun project and I hope we get to do more like these.

"Just One More Chapter" Jar

For this project, I got to create a jar. For this jar, I made it like any old jar, but I put my favorite quote on it. My favorite quote is, "Just One More Chapter"-Unknown This jar was so much fun to create. I usually don't like to make things out of clay, I prefer to draw, but this was one of my favorite projects. Some difficulties that I ran into with this project were the flowers. The flowers took so much detail and it took me a while after everyone had finished for me to finish. Over all, this was such a fun project where you can use so much creativity and I would recommend this project to any one of my friends.

Clay wistle

For this project, I got to make a whistle, and from the base of the whistle, I got to make an animal, which I chose an octopus. This project was fun but it wasn't my favorite. I felt a bit rushed and I personally don't like 3d things. It was fun overall and recomend this to a friend who like to make things with their hands rather than draw.

Clay bowl

For this project, I got to make a bowl out of clay. For this project, I got to use so much creativity and it was somewhat fun. This project wasn't my favorite. Personally, I am not a huge fan of making physical things with my hands, I prefer 2d things. Overall, this project was fun and would recommend this project to all my friends.

Water Color Painting

For this project, I got to choose an underwater animal to paint with water color. My family loves the polar bear, so I chose to do a polar bear. When I first started this project, it wasn't very fun. Then I decided to start over and chose different colors and it changed my entire perspective on the project. Once I found my colors, it was so much fun. I would do this project over and over again. Over all, this project was fun and I would recommend it to everyone.

Insect Oil pastel

For this project, I go to choose an insect to create using oil pastels. I have used oil pastels in the past, so I knew the basics, but doing it in art class, I got to learn more techniques. For this project, I chose to do a scorpion because I wanted to do something that nobody ever really does. Although it was a little stressful towards the end, it was super fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Overall, this project was one of my favorites and I would recommend it to so many people.

Stamps

For our last project this year, we got to make stamps out of any bird. I chose an owl for the stamps. To make the stamps, we had to trace it, cut it out, and make the stamps. This project was so much fun, we got to use a lot of creativity as we had to choose which colors we wanted, do we want it rainbow, which paper to use and more. Overall, This was so much fun and it was easy and I would recommend it to everybody.
