Self Portrait
For this self portrait, we spend multiple weeks working on it. I worked on section by section slowing working my way into the last weeks. I am really happy with how this turned out even though there were struggles along the way. One of the struggles I had was the hair. I spent multiples days doing practice drawings on how to get it right. In the end I learned that simple is best and to not overthink it. Although the picture isn't perfect I am happy for how it turned out for my first try.
For this food painting I chose to draw a In-N-Out Burger. In-N-Out is my favorite food and have been getting it a lot lately. Starting off I was really struggling with the bun and tomatoes and had a hard time making it realistic. But once I got to the toppings I caught on and ended up making it realistic. I'm glad I was able to at least catch on in the end and am happy that it turned out decent.
For this etching project I chose to etch a chick. The chick itself is a very simple animal, so it made it kinda hard to draw because I had to make it look fluffy. In the end I think it looked okay and good enough being that it is a chick. My favorite part of the project was definitely the printing and I think trying a different animal maybe would have been better.
For this project I didn't know what to do for a photo, so I chose a random house I found on the internet. This project was really hard for me and I had a hard time being loose and fun with it. Langmaack helped me along the way and it started getting better. Looking back at this project now I definitely see things I would like to fix about it but overall it didn't turn out to bad.
For this project I chose to draw my brothers truck. Already throughout the year I thought it would be fun to draw his truck because I think it looks pretty good and I didn't have any other cars that looked better than that. At the beginning of this project I was struggling to get started and figure out how the pencils worked but once I practiced I eventually figured out the combo of pencils I needed to get the right colors. I had really fun doing this project and I am happy with how it turned out even when I was rushing in the end to get it done, but I would love to do it more for fun in my free time because I like the result in the end.
