design/original plan
while there may have not been a lot of stellar dialogue(or a lot period) i think i managed to make the dialogue effectively match the personalities of the characters i had set up in the design segment. i also think their actions synced up with their characters, with Damien cowering in front of the dominating sol and argyle using his cunning intelligence to escape out of prison. because of the nature of the point the script takes place in, i however wasn't able to shine much of argyle's egotistical side, however i do not think that is much of an issue. the mood board initially was quite surface level in terms of representing a murder mystery spy thriller(with its tonal confusions) however after deciding to go with a maybe more serious script with less urgent dialogue(mostly coming from argyle due to his personality). as for the storyboards: those were more so rough guidelines from the start, meaning that i did deviate quite a bit from those initial concepts anyway but I think that it was for the better anyway. not strictly following the storyboards allowed me to change and include elements for the better(such as clearing up confusion by having damien already be in the grand spy's office instead of him appearing after a cut from one shot to another) so therefore i think this is more so a benefit then a disadvantage.
time and management
from what I can remember, I definitely managed to keep on time and on track with the script, where I believe I even managed to finish a bit earlier than others. I however wished I had checked the script again after writing it, because I had noticed quite a few spelling and grammatical issues that make the script more confusing than its detailed length already makes it. overall, time management was good but i think i could have afforded more time to taking the script slow and refining it.
closing thoughts
overall, i believe my script for the large part to have succeeded. as shown in the data evaluation, most of the segments i managed to accomplish to a level i find satisfying with only a few glaring issues that would need addressing. i also think that any deviations i made from the original plans in the design segment(which there are many) were for the better or somehow improved the script.Â
