I chose this project as my most proud work of the year because it represents both my personal style and the progress I’ve made in 3D modeling. Inspired by my Generation 1 Optimus Prime and Nemesis Prime toys, I used multiple block polygons to create a more accurate and detailed model. Tools like "convert to editable poly" and the transform tool helped me shape the design effectively. While I enjoy working with blocky forms, I pushed myself to redo parts for better accuracy and added detail, which taught me patience and precision. This project reflects my passion for simple yet strong designs and shows how much I’ve grown creatively this year.
I chose this project as my most proud work of the year because it really shows my ability to add lighting and build a more complex 3D scene. I based it on Bowser’s Castle and focused on capturing its dark, fiery atmosphere using stone walls, spiked pillars, and glowing lava. I used emissive materials to make the lava stand out and relied on lighting to create the overall mood of the scene. It was a big step up from my earlier projects because I had to think about how all the elements worked together. This project helped me improve a lot with lighting and scene-building, and I’m proud of how it turned out.
I chose my PBM Artifact 3 the Star Destroyer and X-Wing scene as my best complex scene because it shows how much I’ve grown in 3D modeling. I used everything I’ve learned this year, from blocking and lighting to scene composition. It was a big step up from my earlier blocky models, and it pushed me to think more about scale, detail, and storytelling. This project proves I can build more advanced and complete environments, and that’s why I’m most proud of it.
