We hope this website will inspire you to learn more or do something about Women's Rights too!
We are 5th graders at Charter Oak and we are part of the Women's Rights Exhibition group, we got lots of information about this topic and would love to share some of it with others. Look around to learn more!
Why we chose this topic:
“I was interested in Women's Rights because I read in many books that female and male characters were not treated equally. I also learned about this topic from my mom and dad and felt that this was unfair because men and women are equal. I think that people need to change to make life more equal forever.”-Gaby
"I was interested in this topic from reading books and learning about it from my Aunt. I also support LGBTQ+ and I learned more about Women's Rights when I was learning about the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. I felt that this was a topic that others should know more about too." - Kara
"I was interested in this topic after I started learning about Women's Rights. I felt like it was an interesting thing to learn about so I started to research more about it and felt it was an important topic that people need to know about." - Celina

We learned about how dress codes were used to discriminate against women and girls and how they affected females.
We learned about Women's Rights across different settings like in sports, jobs, schools and more.
We learned about the history of Women's Rights and how it was in the past compared to how it is now.
We made different links for different ages so more people could understand Women's Rights and be more interested.
