Today, we worked on a few things and presented the progress of our game to the class. I updated the website a little bit, rewriting our game section mostly. Ryan has been working on the inventory system for our game, it's a bit more complicated than expected. Zeb has been making a UI template that shows where all the UI will go and how it looks.

In my opinion, we have been pretty successful today. Ryan has been coding the enemy AI, space blaster, items, and some other minor things. He has been pretty successful and I think we have a good structure for our game. Zeb has spent all his time working on the map and biomes. Ryan originally made a starter map, but Zeb expanded a lot more on it. I have been working on art which I don't usually do, but it's refreshing to do other things. I made some weather-related enemies and items.

Zeb and Logan today worked on figuring out what kind of items and power-ups we wanted to add to the game as we only have 2 right now. Zeb and me also working on the tile sets and some very temporary map designs for a demo area. Logan spent most of his time making new items as well for the game and made a new folder in the Google Drive folder to hold documents for item design, upgrade design, and enemy design.

Like a piece of mold on your bread, we grow. Our team has gone from three members to four members, his name is Kaypha. Since this project started our team has been the smallest with only three people, while everyone else has more than five. Kaypha has been going into depth on map design, Zeb has been making concept art for enemies, Ryan has been designing enemies and upgrades, and I coded an oxygen upgrade and added stuff to the website. Soon we are going to create the map for demo day.

Today wasn't the most productive, we are missing Kaypha and Ryan, so just me and Zeb worked. I figured out how Ryan coded his items, so I began making food rations. Today I mostly just figured out what Ryan's code did. Zeb made some art (though not for the game). Hopefully, more of us will be here next week so we can start working on the demo game.

Today was mostly about art. I worked on placing the tiles that make up the environment, I was able to get the majority of the rough draft done, I will need to smooth it out in future meetings. Zeb worked on the art for the ship pieces. Logan worked on organizing the interactables in a Google doc. Ryan worked on music for the game. hopefully next week we will finish making the environment so that we can start getting some of the gameplay features put into the demo.

Today Kaypha couldn't do much work but he was still able to add progress to the demo terrain. Logan worked on doing a full rehaul on the website and helping me come up with some more enemy ideas. Zeb today didn't do much but he did start designing a new enemy that is like a rat. Finally today I worked on coming out with 3 new enemy ideas for the enemy fortress and made art for them.

Today was a very long work day. We had an early release and decided to work for an extra two hours. I worked on the website and organization for art. I also wrote code for the pot-breaking mechanics. Kaypha worked on the tilemap and added decorations. Zeb made rock sprites as decorations that can be scattered around the map. Ryan had soccer tryouts, so he wasn't here much, but when he was here he began working on the pot break particles.

Today Ryan got some more work done on implementing the enemies but had to leave early. Me and Zeb worked on UI art. Logan started placing pots and decorating the enemy fortress.

Ryan had to leave early (once again) so that led Kaypha, Zeb, and me to work on the game. Kaypha made an inside of the crashed spaceship. I worked on a demo gameplay loop document and a crafting tree. Zeb worked on art for the game logo. We are all planning on meeting up again tomorrow to get extra work in, demo day is in a week and we are scrambling to add all the features we want.

We did decoration art and map design.

Today we planned for a lot of things. Ryan had another soccer game to go to, so he wasn't here. I worked on the crafting tree a lot and started revising it.

We are getting very close to the deadline, and we still have tons of work to do. Today Zeb made art, Kaypha went and looked over the achievement guide, and worked on the game design document. Ryan made some music for the game and worked on art for the final boss. I spent longer than I should have trying to make a particle system for acid rain. Luckily, I got it working in the end.

We are now even closer to the deadline, and it still feels like we have lots of work. Today, Ryan had a soccer game and couldn't work on the game that much. Kaypha has been working on a lightning enemy. I have worked on the GDD document and trying to get all the documents updated. Zeb made some art for different space blaster variants. Only got a week left to work, very scary.

Today we are scrambling to put everything together. It was an early release today so we got four hours to work, which saved us. I finished the trailer while everyone else worked on the poster board. Once I finished the trailer I helped with the board. Saturday we go to OGPC.
