Curriculum
The curriculum that used in philippines is the K to 12 curriculum. Education in the Philippines is compulsory at the basic education level, composed of kindergarten, elementary school (grades 1–6), junior high school (grades 7–10), and senior high school (grades 11–12). The K to 12 Araling Panlipunan curriculum aims to cultivate youth with a specific identity and role as Filipinos who participate in the life of society, country and world. To achieve those to this end, it is important to emphasize the interrelated skills in Social Studies: (i) investigation; (ii) analysis and interpretation of information; (iii) research; (iv) communication, especially essay writing; and (v) meeting ethical standards.
