Purpose of Practicum
I joined this program because I want to make my family proud that I can get to this stage because of you, and of course, because this program trains us to become better-quality teachers. I aim to enhance my quality, both in education and socially. Thanks to this program, I can learn about the culture and education system in the Philippines, and I hope I can adapt it to the education system in Indonesia.
Outcomes of Practicum
After participating in this program, I've learned several tricks for managing the classroom, socializing with peers and even with older individuals, and I've become more confident in speaking English. One thing I remember from one of our CTs said 'English is not always about grammar, so don't be afraid to speak'.

CHALLENGE AND SUGGESTION
A challenging experience for me was in the first week when I was asked to teach chemistry, even though my major is biology, and the last time I studied that material was 3.5 years ago. Honestly, I was afraid of providing incorrect information to the students, but Sir Harry placed full trust in me, and eventually, I managed to get through it well. I still remember very well getting applause in the staff room because of Sir Harry.
Moreover, another challenge for me while teaching in Grade 7 was related to language and classroom management. However, with the help of the students there and, of course, Ma'am Leah, I was able to overcome these challenges.
This program is very special to me. It still feels like a dream to be able to stay for a month in a foreign country, and during that time, I received a lot of love from the host university, Lazaro's students, CT, new friends from Indonesia, and the people around me.
In the first week, it was quite challenging for me because all my habits changed; usually, I go out at night, but there we couldn't because there was a curfew. However, it was all worth it. Every weekend, we were taken on trips, and one week we went to Baguio. For me, Baguio is an incredibly beautiful city. I felt like I discovered a different side of myself there—busy yet organized. I fell in love with the city.
And... at the end of the week, that was both a happy and sad day for me. Happy because I would finally meet my family, friends, and all the Indonesian food. But also sad because I had to leave all my beloved people there, especially my students. Hopefully, one day, I can meet my dear ones there again, wherever that might be.

Suggestion for Future Improvement
I hope this program continues and more people participate, especially those who dream of gaining valuable experiences abroad. Hopefully, those of you reading this will be the next participants.
