History of Udon Pittayanukoon School
The history of Udon Pittayanukul School traces its origins to October 9, R.S. 121, when Princess Wattana, the Governor of Udon Thani, proposed the construction of the Thai Book School at Ban Mak Khaeng to honor King Chulalongkorn. Officially established on September 21, 1878 (B.E. 1902), the school began teaching in a simple building near Wat Matchimawat. Over the years, the school expanded and evolved, adopting new teaching methodologies, constructing modern facilities, and establishing itself as a leader in educational innovation in Northeast Thailand. Landmark developments include the introduction of higher education levels in 1934, the comprehensive school project in 1968, and the creation of a Dharma Center under royal patronage in the late 20th century. Today, Udon Pittayanukul School stands as a century-old institution, continually adapting to meet the needs of its students through modern infrastructure and a commitment to excellence in education.
