The journey doesn't end there. I was also get a opportunity to tour the city of Udon Thani, enjoying the beauty of the city in northern Thailand while learning about its culture. There were several places I visited, parks, night markets, to typical destinations from Udon Thani.
Every journey always has its own story. I will always remember and miss those moments. So, here we go...!!
Vietnam Town in Udon Thani
I started my adventure at the Vietnam Town in Udon Thani, where I had first taste of Thai dessert—khanom krok. Let me just say, it’s so good! Those little coconut pancakes instantly became my favorite. I couldn’t get enough of them!
City Trip in Udon Thani
I explored the city and visited some incredible places. There are Udon Thani Museum, Photisomporn Temple: My first time visiting a Buddhist temple, and WOW, it was stunning!, and Chinese Shrine and Museum. It was so interesting to see the blend of cultures and learn about their history.
Ban Chiang World Heritage Site
Then, I headed to Ban Chiang, which is super famous for its pottery. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip! I got to paint a pottery (and surprise, I won a prize for it 🥹). I also learned how to make pottery and even crafted a bracelet. To top it off, my buddy, Phanu, gave me a sweet gift—it was such a wholesome moment.
Phu Foi Lom National Park
It was the perfect place to relax, take in the beautiful scenery, and snap lots of photos with my friends before heading back to Indonesia. We spent so much time just talking, laughing, and cherishing those last moments together. I already miss those times.
Kra Thong Festival
It's really fun to be able to enjoy a Thai festival called "Krathong Festival". This is a colorful and meaningful tradition.
Visit Foundation School in Rural Areas
It wasn’t just sightseeing, though! We also visited a foundation school in a rural area. I was amazed by how awesome their facilities were. The school had a nature-based learning concept where students grew their own food from gardens and farms they managed. It was so inspiring to see how sustainable and hands-on their education was.
Teaching abroad through SEATEACHER was like stepping into a vibrant new chapter of life. From the warm smiles of the students to the fascinating classroom dynamics, every day was an adventure in learning—both for me and for them! It wasn’t just about teaching, it was about connecting, growing, and leaving a little piece of myself in a place that gave so much back to me.
