Course Description
This course gives opportunities for students to apply the knowledge gained previously. Students need to choose a research topic and produce well structured literature review, statement of research question and formulation of hypothesis. The students have to identify the population and choose appropriate research techniques/tools. Students are required to consult their respective Supervisors at least 7 times per semester at two hours per consultation. A log book will be used to track students’ progress. Students will be assessed upon completing the problem statement, research objectives, literature review, hypotheses (optional) and research design including draft questionnaire or laboratory flowchart. The frequency of consultation carries 10% of the total dissertation marks. Plagiarism is prohibited. By working on their dissertation students have much opportunity to practice the referencing citation and analytic skills they have learn from their supervisor and Research Methodology Class.
