Ateneo de Naga Senior High School is part of Ateneo de Naga University, which was founded in 1940 by the Jesuits. The senior high school was later established in response to the  Philippines’ K–12 reform that carries a strong identity as a Filipino, Catholic, and Jesuit institution that values both academic excellence and character formation. 

The Senior High School (SMS) of the Ateneo de Naga University is committed to develop students as hife-long learners through the acquisition of ethical as well as spiritual values guided by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola; and thus be holistically prepared for college education adept at critical thinking communication, collaboration, creativity, information retail and technology skills geared towards the development of the Bicol Region and the entire nation.
