SEA Teacher (Southeast Asian Teacher Project) is an pre-service teachers exchange program that connects student teachers across Southeast Asia. This programme gives a chance for pre-service teachers to step beyond classroom and education experiences in a completely different environment. The program is not only about teaching, but it’s also about understanding how culture from other countries, language, and perspective shape the way learning happens in each place. Through this program, pre-service teachers are given the opportunity to gain real classroom experience abroad to teach effectively in a new setting. It also helps us to broaden our perspectives by immersing ourselves in different cultures, school systems, and ways of thinking. From that, it will encourage pre-service teachers into adaptability in the most real sense on how to adjust, connect, and grow within environments that constantly challenge what we thought we knew about teaching and learning. In the end of this program, many lessons I take which are not only about teaching experiences, it teaches me to become more aware, empathetic, and more prepared to teach in a world that is full of diversity and a more complex educational curriculum.
