Practice roleplays. The more you do, the better you'll get. Practice with a friend or family member to get feedback on presentation skills.
2. Practice exams. Go over the questions you get wrong and ensure you understand them.
3. Know your PI's. Although you don't need to know every single performance indicator on the list, know the ones that routinely show up on roleplays. You can study them by looking through the DECA Hub or Quizlet.
4. Keep up with industry trends. Providing real-life examples of what is happening in the business world and how they relate to your case can be game-changing.
5. Go through vocab and terminology. This can be found on Quizlet, or ask one of the execs to borrow a flashcard set for your cluster.
6. Ask one of the execs if they can do a practice roleplay with you. We'd love to help you out and give you feedback!
7. Attend DECA meetings. We provide invaluable advice at our meetings and do lots of training exercises. Simply coming to these meetings is a sure-fire way to improve your DECA skills!
