The LP music council works hard to ensure the music program is a helpful and welcoming space for new Grade 9s.

No, you do not need to play an instrument to join music, in fact, almost all of our new students are complete beginners! Our grade 9 classes are designed to teach the basic fundamentals of music, no matter what your skill set is. Also, our directors and student leaders often provide extra guidance, making it easy to learn the basics and build confidence!!
In addition, our club, Exploring Music, allows students to explore different instruments with their peers!!

LP will host Grade 8 activity days for nearby schools' students to visit and try out the LP music program! In addition, you can check our booth and our drop-in interactive band class at Grade 8 Night!
