About Mrs. Wilson

I have been an SLP for 16 years and I couldn't be happier to have worked the last 8 in St. Helena! I am originally from Fresno, but attended college at CSU Northridge for my Bachelor's degree in Flute Performance and CSU Sacramento for my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. Prior to St. Helena, I worked in the Twin Rivers Unified School District in Sacramento. My caseload was primarily comprised of students with physical disabilities who used Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). Since moving to the Napa/Sonoma area, I have continued to develop my professional interests in the areas of Bilingual Evaluations and Autism. I live in Windsor with my husband, our two boys, and our two cats, and our two puppies. My oldest son is in 8th grade at RLS this year and my youngest is in 5th grade at SHES.  I truly love what I do and I am so excited about this school year. I can't wait to get to know my students and their parents better and hope to see a ton of progress in their communication skills along the way!  I hope you find some useful resources on this website. Please feel free to reach out to me using the email link below if you need to. Keep scrolling for more info about various areas of communication and other helpful links/articles.

Apps for Speech Therapy

Click the link below for a list of apps that can be used to target speech-language goals. These apps are not recommended as a substitute for therapy, but can be used as a supplement. Best practice is to sit with your child, interact with them and provide feedback while they use these apps. Please do not leave the child unattended with a speech app.
