sketching

First what i did was i needed to get the base designs of the mosquito coil holders and then i needed to put it under my sheet of paper which i am drawing it on to trace it .I think that it was very hard to draw it because i couldnt see through the paper that clearly.I also had to press very lightly so when i made mistakes they could be rubbed out easily and not leave a mark.

After i did that i went to go find some inspiration to draw i tried to draw a wave at the top but i dont think it was a good drawing.I not only did waves i also drew a football and a hill.After that i sketched it lightly I traced again to make it look more clear.

Fine lining

After we finished sketching our designs awe use 0.3,0.5 or 0.8 pen to sketch it i chose to use the 0.3 which is the smallest one because there was alot of small details that i have put in my drawing.I tried to make it as straight as i could but i struggled to do so so it will not look perfect.

highlights

Next we need to colour the drawings i will colour most of them yellow and blue to make it like an ocean with a beachside i will use many types of blue such as light blue,dark blue and turquoise so that the ocean would look better and more realistic.Some i will do dark blue to make it look deep and lighter blue to make it look shallow.My football i will make it yellow and purple because that is the colour of my football at home.

shadows

I'am using black olor pencils to add shadows and tones on to my work.I add shadows to make my work look more realistic and proffesional.We do this as well but we have a set location where the light comes from its around 10 to 11 o'clock.I also have put some white pencil to make it look like the light is reflecting.

wood grain

I used multiple markers with the same colour. One light and one dark. I put the darker colour on the outside and the lighter colour on the inside. Finally I blended both light and dark brown to add a smooth texture.I also use a black marker to make the patterns of the wood.

What is procreate?

Procreate is an app used for graphic designing and digital painting it was developed by an australian company in 2011 and is used by a majority of people for digital painting on ios.I will be using procreate to sketch my designs online the app has a wide selection of brushes and tools.

Procreate

I m using an apple pencil to draw my designs in procreate.I using a blue pencil to sketch the patterns and details of my designand a black pen to sketch the outside.My thins lines are 14 percent in size and 100 percent in opacity my blue lines are 8 percent in size and 90 percent in opacity.

Blue pencil

I liked the blue pencil because it looked very clear and clean.I also think that it was easier to draw with an apple pencil on an ipad rather than drawing with a real blue pencil.

After i had drawen with the blue pencil i use a thick balck pen to go over the blue lines in a diffrent layer that i have drawn.

This is my finished design i havent drawn the coil in my finished product. After we finsihed drawing all of that done we now had to find a resin or a pattern that we wanted our resin to be and put them on instead of painting or coloring them we also do the same as the wood.

Finished design

After i have finished finelining i can now start colouring but on procreate i do not need to render the drawings of my resin and wood i only need to attach pictures to it we have first i seletced layer that i finelined i then press on the area that i wanted to fill in invert the selection then i went to the image that i chose swiped three fingers then i cut the areas that i didnt need.

Next i outlined some of them with a black pen then i used a shadow brush to create the shadows.In my procreate work i did make some mistakes such as accidently erasing what i have put in out to fix this is used a colour that i similar to the image that i have chosen and go over it.

Finally after i have finished highlighting and adding shadows i used a black pen to colour the part of the mosquito coil that was left out.

This design i like how to ocean blue matches up with the sand it looks very clean i just do not like the shadows that i have added and i regret putting it in.

This design is also another simple design i chose the whirlpool because it reminds me of the moquito coil that is placed in the middle.Once again i have picked an ocean theme for it

This design is just a copy of the other ocean ones the only change that i have made is that the moquito coil is no longer sticking out on the top and instead of just a square it has waves at the top like the first one.

This design i didnt really know what colour to use but i chose yellow and orange and purple and blue so that it would not just be one boring colour.One think that i dont like about this design is that it doenst really look like a football now.

My favourite design

For this design i have put a blue resin but it is darker than the one that i have used for the beach i have added some shadows to it to make it look better and more realistic.This is my favourite design because i like how the blue resin and wood grain match up with each other aswell as the shape of it this is also the design i will most likely end up choosing.

My second favourite design

For this design i did not expect this to be one of my favourite designs becuse it was just a simples wave design but the reason that this is one of my favourites is because i love the black grey and white resin together along with abit of shadows that i have added it really reminds me of the moon the wave pattern was supposed to be black but i thought it would be too boring so i decided to go with these colours.
