2D Basic Shape Sketching - L1
In this lesson we have learn to use the crating tecnique which teaches us to use ghost line to help guide with shapes that we are aiming for in a 2D dimension. As well as that I have also press my pen harder on the actual shape so it can show which line to be focus and which is to not be focus. What I have also learn is we also have to try and draw fillets in the corner of each shapes. Fillets in this term mean the rounding of the corner of interior or exterior designs.
In this sketch you can see I have drawn various straight ghost line which is all connected is a guid for me to make the final shape by connecting the ghost lines. Which as you can see I have drawn the harder line on the actual shape.
I have been testing out two blue pen which I personally like the top one more because it's easier to hold than the bottom one due to it square shape. From research the top pen is called 'pental' and the bottome one is called 'Caran d'Ache 888 Infinite ballpoint Pen'.
Theses are the cirles I have drawn using two different methods. The circle on top I have use the crating method by drawing a light box and drawing a light diagonal line following it. After that I curve the corners and creating the circle. On the second method, I have only drawn it by lightly moving my arm in a circular motion.

You may also see that the square on the bottom of my sphere sketch have a lighter line to show the differences between the two shape and the shadows.
For this part, you may see that I have outline the sphere with the same thickness all around. This is because if you look at the right photo you may see that even if there's uneven shadow or light, the edges are all still dark due to it being 3D. Therefore I wanted to show you the same perspective to my sphere, so that's why I have outline the edges really thick.
This is what it looks like when all the shapes are fineline. Although in this fine-lining part I didn't have a varieties of volume in the line because this was a practice paper which help me to learn more about how hard I should press and the sketching line.
As well as that, some of these line are a bit overlapping which isn't the best I have done, although I will try and fix it in the future

Here is the overview picture of what I have done in my previous lesson of rendering, but as you can see I haven't done as much and this is because i thought it was a bit difficult when I had to try and balanced the light and the shadow. You may that I have made the shadow too dark in shape 4 which caused it to look imbalance, making it not look as realistic as the other shapes.
I have chosen this picture to be the focus of this part due to the white pen that I have drew on. If you look on the shape head you will see my white pen which I think I drew a pretty realistic line on making it look like an actual light reflection.
For this shape, you will be able to see that the inside line is more darker than the outside line. This is because I wanted to make it look more realistic since the the inside line would be in the inner layer of the shape in reality, causing it to be darker.
The mistake I have made in this shape is the shadowing. What I have noticed is that the shadowing may be too unrealistic and theres some section in the shadow where it's too dark, which can make the shape look less realistic and dull.
Personally I actually like this shape a lot, due to all of the colors being balanced; not too dark shadow nor too light reflections line, as well as that, I think I drew this shape pretty neat.
