PQ Ambassadors
"Growing Our Own!"
Welcome to our site!
The PQ Ambassadors program is a project designed to grow future teachers in our community. As a class at Perquimans County High School, students grades 10-12 have undergone 6-8 weeks of training in leadership, communication, responsibility, elementary teaching skills, and professionalism. Beginning in February, students were assigned a teacher in either Perquimans Central or Hertford Grammar School, where they are working with them to mentor and tutor their students.
This course is taught by Mrs. Brenda Dail, who has a multitude of teaching experience, with the addition of guest speakers from within the school system and community.
The goal of this program is to develop home-grown teachers in Perquimans. By giving students teaching and leadership skills, as well as discovering ways of funding their education, they are encouraged to return to Perquimans County and give back to the community that raised them.

HarbOr Towns Cruises
On April 19th, three of our PQ Ambassadors and Mrs. Dail made history by being a part of the first 25 people on the Harbor Town Cruise in Hertford at it's opening. It was an honor to be invited and our students represented our program and our school proudly.
