Leadership positions allow me to guide other people to reach their full potential. That is why I have been involved in so many over my middle school & high school years!
I was cordially accepted as a member of Steele's National Honor Society chapter in September of 2023 and was inducted in October of 2023. Being a leader of National Honor Society means that I carry myself as a leader every day and showcase the four pillars of National Honor Society: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
NHS President: April 2025 to Present
Planned and led over 25 events, from Senior Sunrise and the Homecoming Game to our Alumni Celebration.
Organized initiatives such as a charity fundraiser that raised $850 for a local animal shelter and spirit workdays to prepare for school and community events.
Implemented programs like Member of the Week to recognize outstanding service and leadership.
Created an organizational system including detailed event trackers, task assignments, and supply lists (see this spreadsheet) to improve efficiency and communication among officers and members.
Under my leadership, our chapter became the largest in school history, and we earned the NHS Character Award for 2024-2025.
NHS Vice President: April 2024 to May 2025
Initiated and managed the NHS Canvas page, posting service opportunities, meeting recaps, and event details to keep our members informed.
Supported the president and helped establish our co-head system to expand leadership opportunities.
Financial Committee Member: August 2023 to May 2024
Assisted the NHS treasurer by creating draft purchase orders.
Analyzed the risk-reward potential of fundraisers and events.
Freshman Class Representative: August 2022 to May 2023
Worked with 3 fellow freshmen representatives to plan and execute class events.
Served as the primary contact for freshmen to bring ideas to the student body leadership team.
Energy & Environment Committee Member: August 2025 to May 2026
Exploring how to minimize negative impacts like climate change (greenhouse gas emissions), pollution, and resource depletion.
Practicing reducing, reusing, and recycling materials to create decorations for homecoming week, holiday events, etc.
Secured $1,000 grant from Northwest ISD Education Fund to initiate school garden project.
Maintained the school garden, monitoring overall garden health.
Prom Committee Member: August 2022 to May 2023
Served in the marketing sub-committee, working to promote the event through social media and in-person channels.
Created the Prom 2023 flyer, distributed to over 500 students and staff.
At the start of my freshman year (August 2022), I joined Student Council at Steele! I wanted to find a way to become more involved in event planning and leadership at school, and Student Council offered this opportunity.
StuCo Project Manager: April 2024 to May 2025
Created the organization's first Canvas page, including yearly calendars, attendance sheets, event planning document templates, state reports, committee agendas, and much more! See video to left for highlights.
Created a state report tracker, leading the organization to win TASC Sweepstakes (40+ state reports) at the district conference.
StuCo Treasurer: April 2023 to May 2024
Monitored Student Council finances for 12+ committees and 25+ student-planned events.
Presented quarterly reports for organizational financial health, including profit projections and expense analyses.
Big Event Coordinator: 2023 & 2024
On the first Saturday of April each year, hundreds of NISD students and staff members gather together to serve the communities that we call home. I cannot put into words how incredibly lucky and proud I am to be a part of this amazing group of public servants. The months spent planning were well worth it for the smiles on everyone’s faces and the memories made. It was an honor to help at the City of Roanoke's EggAPalooza event, with other teams serving at the Community Storehouse and local parks. Thank you to all of the advisors, students, and staff members who made this event possible!
I applied for FBLA (Phi Beta Lambda) in September of 2022 and was inducted in October of 2022. Phi Beta Lambda is a nationwide organization that aids students in becoming more successful in the business world.

Worked to plan various community service projects, such as Operation Christmas and First Responder Gift Baskets.
Marketing Committee Member: August 2023 to August 2024
Created promotional content for FBLA events, like the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and the competition season.
In Fall 2024, FBLA transitioned into DECA. This presented the opportunity to develop my business soft skills through competition. After my first year competing in DECA, I fell in love with the organization and have worked on the leadership team ever since.
Mentorship Committee Co-Head: August 2025 to Present
Led committee breakouts during general meetings, answering questions about upcoming events and fundraisers.
Offered insight on how to successfully participate in fundraisers, raising over $5000 for competition in the 2025-2026 season.
Competitive Mentor: August 2025 to Present
Supported three students in their competitive event, Principles of Hospitality and Tourism, for the 2025-2026 season.
Scheduled regular emails and in-person check-ups to practice interviews and exams.
Hospitality Committee Member: August 2024 to May 2025
Led my team to create hotel management solutions in various scenarios, ranging from celebrity visits to surplus of supplies.
Serve on the Compass Kids team providing a safe, fun, and faith-based environment for children from infancy through elementary age, helping them engage with biblical teaching and activities. Assist with age-appropriate lessons, crafts, games, and small group discussion to reinforce core faith concepts each week. Served in various roles at Night to Shine.
Pre-Kindergarten Small Group Leader: June 2023 to Present
Lead small group sessions for pre-K children, facilitating Bible stories, worship, and developmental activities in a supportive environment.
Build relationships with children and guide meaningful discussion, prayer, and learning around foundational faith principles.
Ensure the safety, engagement, and spiritual encouragement of preschoolers during weekly sessions and events.
Serve as a Wellness Ambassador promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students through school-wide initiatives and events. Advocate for healthy habits and positive school culture by supporting wellness campaigns, activities, and peer engagement.

College Board BigFuture Ambassador (August 2025 to December 2025): Promote College Board resources, guide college planning, share test/application tips, support peers, & earned our program’s first Share Squad award.
National Technical Honor Society (October 2025 to Present): Engage in service, leadership, and career development activities, fostering personal growth in character and worksmanship.
I love the way that community service builds soft skills while essentially aiding those around me. I volunteer with the hope to inspire future generations to continue my legacy of service while making a tangible, lasting impact on my community.
Wilson Middle School | 50+ Hours
Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in Spring 2020, I spent most mornings volunteering in the classroom, writing cards for the elderly and serving as a library assistant.
I also volunteered at ACE Camp, the winter dance, and several other school events. On a monthly basis, I volunteered at the Tarrant County Food Bank.
Since the beginning of middle school, I have helped my dad in his workshop. From this experience, I have learned various technical skills, ranging from CNC operations to VCAD programming.
James M. Steele Early College High School | 500+ Hours
Served as a college fair representative, welcoming prospective students and families, answering questions, and representing Steele's Early College Program with professionalism.
Volunteered at City of Roanoke events including Celebrate Roanoke, Hometown Holiday, Veterans Day Parade, and Breakfast with Santa by assisting with setup, logistics, and community engagement.
Supported Steele Showcase Nights by guiding families, assisting staff, and helping create a welcoming experience for prospective students.
Participated in a student-led library initiative by organizing materials, assisting peers, and supporting an accessible, student-centered learning environment.
