If there is anything about me that everyone I know would agree on- it is that I am an extremely hard worker. I never give up, regardless of how difficult something may be, and work to be my best at everything I do. In all aspects of my life, from my relationships to community service, to school, to wellness, to my leadership positions, and more- I always give 100% of myself. I am a student at James M. Steele Early College High School, which is an application-only school for students who are interested in a competitive advantage over their peers. I chose Steele because I wanted to pursue my Associate's Degree in high school through Steele's Early College program. I am extremely happy with my choice, as I have grown to love the family that I have created here at Steele.
I have served in several leadership positions at Steele, including National Honor Society Vice President; Student Council Project Manager, Treasurer, Class Representative, and Energy & Environment Committee Member; Distributive Education Clubs of America Mentorship Committee Co-Head and Competitive Mentor; Wellness Ambassador Secretary; and Red Cross Club Secretary. Presently, I am the President of National Honor Society, and I have learned immense leadership and communication skills through this position. I strive to ensure that everyone at Steele, regardless of their background, are included. All of my positions have taught me the intricacies of planning events and communication between every person at Steele. They make me, ME.
I also enjoy cycling, event planning, and traveling the world. I have had a passion for fitness and wellness since COVID-19, continuously setting new goals and working towards them with discipline. Traveling makes me feel the most alive- my dream is to, one day, travel around the world and hike several mountain ranges. I aim to always be kind and helpful to everyone, whether that be people in my community or people in another city or country. In the future, I see myself as a physical therapist working with high performance athletes in the world of Formula 1 or the National Football League, or as a public community event planner.
One of my biggest passions and strengths is event planning. As National Honor Society President, I have had the privilege of planning and executing over 25 school and community wide events, ranging from the annual Senior Sunrise to Senior Sunset, the yearly Alumni Panel and Celebration, the winter Family Night In and Holiday Gram Project, and so much more. This year alone, my team has introduced 2 new events: the Fast & Furriest Color Run and the Angel Tree Project. Our event successes can be measured both quantitatively and qualitatively:
The Holiday Gram fundraiser saw a 55% profit increase from the previous year.
Family Night In 2025 saw a 55% increase in attendance from the previous year.
The first annual Color Run raised nearly $900 for a local annual shelter.
With each project we host comes a unique set of challenges and setbacks- this is what fuels me. I thrive in high-pressure environments, helping my team come up with solutions that mitigate issues while creating an enjoyable experience for event attendees. This mindset led us to receive the NHS Character Award, awarded to NHS chapters that embody the character pillar of National Honor Society. Currently, we are initiating a food drive collaboration between Steele's National Honor Society, Student Council, and Distributive Education Clubs of America chapters. I am also working with V.R. Eaton High School's National Honor Society to collaborate on a cross-chapter service project in Spring 2026.
In Winter 2025, I compete in the Independent Business Plan (EIB) at the DECA district and state competitions. I created Elevate Fitness (EF), a business that combines state-of-the-art fitness facilities with expert training and dietetic guidance to deliver an unmatched wellness experience for clients. I presented a 20-page business proposal (above), detailing EF's business model, opportunities for growth in the industry, and the feasibility of the venture. This project taught me valuable skills relating to business start-ups.
This competition season, I am competing in the Project Management Community Giving (PMCG) event. For this project, I planned and executed a Color Run to raise nearly $900 in funds for Apollo Support & Rescue, a local animal shelter struggling to support over 200 dogs each month. At the district competition in January 2026, I will present this project to a panel of judges with the goal of advancing to the state and then international competitions in Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia, respectively.
Over the past few years, I have found a passion for endurance cycling. In April 2025, I completed an 100 kilometer race on my bike, proving to myself and others that I can accomplish whatever I put my mind to. I faced several setbacks, such as a knee injury and various school-related trips that altered my training schedule. However, I worked through these challenges and I was ultimately able to complete the race successfully.
Currently, I am training for an Ironman 70.3 in March 2026. This is my first time attempting a triathlon, let alone a race of this distance, so I will need to adjust my training plan and work to make sure I am prepared when race day comes.
