Writing

In writing, students are learning to use organizational methods like word webs and Venn diagrams to help them in more complex writing assignments. They are being asked to compare and contrast multiple sources as well as use text-based evidence to support their thinking. Student are expected to take more responsibility for the writing process, including revising, editing, and proofreading.
