Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) 

is a program designed to help motivated students in the academic middle prepare for high school, college, and beyond.  AVID teaches students a variety of academic and organizational skills while pushing and supporting them through a rigorous middle school course load.

Important Notes:

AVID is not considered an advanced (AAPS, Gifted or Talented), remedial, or study hall class.

In order to participate in AVID, students must complete an application, interview, and be accepted into the program.
