Flight Data

Flight Path

The Raider I flight took place on 2 June, 2019 and was launched in the town of Bad Durkheim, very close to the castle Hardenburg at approximately 1148 in the morning.

Conditions were ideal with plenty of sunshine, low winds and a starting temperature of 35°C. Anticipated recovery distance was approximately 20km from launch site with an anticipated flight time of 142 minutes.

Our balloon and payload traveled approximately 70km ending up in a small village just north of Bad Kreuznach - 50km further than expected!!

The Raider I vessel was lost for over NINE hours. We thought we lost the payload and experienced our first failed mission. To learn more about what actually happened, check out the Flight Itinerary.
