In DoDEA we use Techsmith's Snagit for the purposes of screenshots (still images of what is on your computer) and screen capturing (video/audio of what is on your computer). We have other options as well.

Windows 10's native (already loaded) screenshot tool; very simple, but does the job of screenshooting images on your computer.
HOW TO ACCESS: Click the Windows icon in the lower left of your screen, type snipping, and choose Snipping Tool.
ALLOWS:
full screen, window, rectangular, and free form screenshots (still images); does not allow for screen capturing (video)
delayed capturing of up to 5 seconds (e.g. to capture a menu)
very limited editor to annotate your screenshots; for example, allows pen, highlighter, and eraser, but not adding typed text, rectangles, arrows, or circles
Snagit by Techsmith is a screen capture tool. It used to take screen shots of on the computer or to create screen casts of demonstrations when using various software and cloud resources.
HOW TO ACCESS: Click the windows icon for TechSmith. Snagit is one of the menu choices.
