Pacific South Digital Tools - Creating Separate Chrome Profile

The purpose of creating different Google Chrome profiles is to allow users to toggle between different accounts and maintain separate bookmarks in each account. Families can have students profile accounts that safe important student bookmarks, family accounts that maintain important family chrome bookmarks, etc. Students can easily toggle to their @student.dodea.edu account and login to their Google Apps for Education account. Please note that creating a Google Chrome Profile does not login the user into their Google Apps account. Users (students) will still need to login to their Google Apps for Education account to access their Google Apps Suite of applications.

Step by step process...

Step 1: Click on the (face icon) in the upper right side of your Google Chrome Browser then press Add.

Step 2: Type in a name and select and avatar

Step 3: Select "Get Started"

Step 4: Select "Next"

Step 5: Pick a background image for your profile home page.

Step 6: Select "continue".

Step 7: If the page is in Japanese select Translate.

Step 8: Enter your gmail address and password to login to your new profile page.

Step 9: Select "Yes, I'm In" to start your Google Chrome Sync to load all your previously saved bookmarks.

Step 10: Your new profile page will pop up. Now you can toggle between profile pages by select the person icon again in the upper right side of your Google Chrome browser. Remember, to access your Google Apps account you will still need to login to your Google Apps account.
