Bang by Barry Lyga

At first, I thought it had to do with gangs or something like that, but no. Oh my god, poor boy! It must be hard to live with the guilt of killing your sister by accident. I can't even imagine going through something like that, but we see it all the time in the news. Good book!

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This book has caught my attention from the very few pages. You will soon be immersed into the life of the characters and you'll never want to stop reading. This book is truly a rare find and will have your heart pounding in suspension to see what will happen next.

The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Great book! Teaches lessons on mercy, acceptance, and character. It is very poetic and I love how this author writes. I do suggest it for mainly juniors and seniors because, it being written in 19th century english, it can be confusing

Notes from the Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky

One of the first Existentialist novels in history. Dostoevsky uses a spiteful and bitter narrator to give his thoughts on human nature and the inadequacy of both rational egoism and romanticism.
