Students are assigned a student Gmail account. The address will be the first initial, first 3 letters of the last name, the last 4 numbers of their student number followed by @student.dodea. edu. And example for a fictional student Sarah Mercado would read smer1857@student.dodea.edu. If a student forgets their password, any of their teachers can reset it or unlock it for them. GradeSpeed is a web-based program that enables parents to log-in to view grade and attendance data for their student(s).

Students are able to chat and form chat groups through the Gmail account assigned to them from school.
