Welcome!
This is my website for my Final Major Project
I’m currently in the final months of my UAL Extended Diploma in Animation and VFX.
Throughout the past two years I have developed a number of skills, both in researching material, creating my own ideas from inspirations and using a variety of software programs to model and animate.
I have always been creative. I just love creating things, both 2D and 3D and I have often written stories and made storyboards and cartoons. I doodle and draw as my ideas unfold, often self-perpetuating as imagination becomes a reality. Sometimes my imagination runs wild and I can’t keep up with my ideas. They are one of my biggest strengths.
When I set out, I thought my main area of development would be in the modelling programs like Zbrush and Maya, but my skill set is definitely more suited to Blender and Sourcefilm animator. I find that I can manipulate imagery quickly and effectively using these programs. Certainly, they suit the speed my brain works at. I enjoy both creating settings and environments and character modelling and I think I have already achieved some good results with past creations. I intend to push my skills further in this project, initiating and developing a creative media production, which in my case is creating a music video to Lyn Lapid’s ‘Producer Man’ hit. I want to focus on changing angles and viewpoints and work the visuals in time to the musical timings. I don’t think that is very easy to do!
Throughout this project I will be analysing and evaluating my work as my ideas and production develop. I have a variety of sources that can help me think critically about my work, mainly my friends and peers.
