Working in the UN SDG Summer Scholars Program has been an extremely rewarding experience. It was refreshing to come together with scholastic students with our own research efforts towards a goal bigger then ourselves. Learning about a niche within niche of sustainabiity proved difficult at times, but at the end was one of the most impactful things I have done as a student. Working with this team made the program as smooth an experience as possible, as I got a glimpse of what true collaboration within a workspace should look like. The things I have learned and skills I have gained along with the generous support from the mentors from the program made me nearly forget that this research will be used to help our world in its push for sustainability. I now consider this an invaluble experience that will help me in any future endeavors.

Working in a research team researching sustainable production and consumption was an incredible experience. Collaborating with a group of like-minded individuals who were passionate about creating a more sustainable future was very uplifting. The ability to bounce ideas off of one another and work towards a common goal was truly rewarding.
The research we conducted was not only intellectually stimulating but also had the potential to make a real-world impact. Knowing that our work could contribute to a more sustainable future was a huge motivation. It was truly a privilege to work not only with this team but with the other researchers and mentors as well. I will always cherish the experience and valuable skills I gained from this experience.

The UN SDG Summer Scholars Program has helped me grow as a person in many ways. Not only has it educated me about the problems the world faces with sustainability, but also helped me to work on my research and writing skills. I am grateful for the group I was able to work with, as well all were able to collaborate cohesively and bring different ideas into our project. This experience has been difficult, but also rewarding as I have gained valuable knowledge while using this opportunity as a way to make a difference.
